Before you leave home
RC field conditions — should I drive out?
Live conditions for the Eloy field — wind, temperature, and a simple fly / caution / stay-home read — plus our FRIA safety edge. Always judge the sky at the flight line.
GO — wind about 8 mph or less, gusts under ~12, no rain or storms.
CAUTION — breezier (to ~14 mph / ~20 mph gusts), hot, dusty, or unsettled sky. Experienced pilots may still fly; newer pilots may wait.
STAY HOME — stronger wind/gusts, precipitation, or thunderstorm risk. Save the sortie.
This is a trip-planning aid for Arizona City Flyers — not ATC, not AMA insurance advice, and not a substitute for looking up before you launch.
Our field is a FRIA — Remote ID broadcast gear is not required while you operate inside the recognized area. Still fly AMA-safe, follow club rules, and know where the boundary is.
About FRIAsMore forecasts (USAirNet & Casa Grande)
Live read uses Open-Meteo at the field coordinates (32.7783, −111.67804), America/Phoenix time.
